The following therapists offer therapy services in Middle Tennessee Schools.

Tammy Jay

Physical Therapist

Tammy graduated with a Bachelors of Physical Therapy from the University of Mississippi in 1992 and has recently joined Helen Duhon at Franklin Speech & Learning. She has over 20 years of experience specializing in Birth to school age. In addition to working at Franklin Speech & Learning, she serves as the Co-Director of the Neuro-Developmental Clinic at Tristar Centennial Medical Center, part time. Once a month, she assists in determining clinic needs including physician attendance/input, scheduling, and streamlining clinic operations. She also evaluates Infants ages 0-18 months that are at risks for developmental delays, makes necessary recommendations to parents and physicians, and provides referrals to other health care professionals.

Tammy's past experience includes working at Centennial Medical Center where she developed their Pediatric Rehab Program. Patients included developmental delay, serial casting , wheelchair fitting, and Cerebral Palsy. Tammy worked extensively in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Throughout her career, she has treated a variety of diagnoses and provided many different treatments including positioning, massage, and a post-discharge plan with parents. (Tammy received her Certification as an Infant Massage Instructor in Dallas, TX -in July,1994.)

Tammy is the mother of six beautiful children with whom she has enjoyed homeschooling for the past 11 years. Franklin Speech is delighted to be a part of Tammy's return to full time practice, as she works in our clinics with clients of all ages and abilities.
